The graduation rate of high school students in Georgia has achieved an all-time high in 2026, with a record graduation rate of 87.2%. Georgia has 1,159 high schools throughout the state, which include traditional, charter, and STEM-oriented models. According to national rankings, two of the best-performing high schools in Georgia, GSMST and the Alliance Academy for Innovation, demonstrate the same type of exceptional academic performance as found across the state, with many school systems achieving graduation rates above 90%. Because of the additional funding available for FY 2026 and the large number of high schools with strong partnerships, the highest performing high schools in Georgia represent exemplary measures of success, with high rates of college readiness and continued district-wide growth.
