Georgia middle school education system has an excellent, data-driven model that comprises a total of 1,489 middle schools that educate nearly one million of Georgia 1.7 million (K-12) students enrolled in public education. The state has a very positive student-to-teacher ratio of 15:1, which allows for better individualized attention to its students compared to the national average. Georgia also focuses on providing opportunities for students to achieve academic success through various methods, including state-mandated gifted education, charter schools, and developing career and technical education within middle school.
