With over 115,000 residents, Lowell Public Schools serves approximately 14,000 students across 28 schools. Elementary proficiency rates remain a concern, averaging around 32% in reading and 28% in math. However, schools like the Bartlett Community Partnership School are showing growth, nearing 50% proficiency.
The district’s graduation rate has improved to 85%, supported by dual-language programs, early college partnerships, and newcomer academies for multilingual learners.
