About

Hi, my name is Shreya. I’m 9 years old, and I’m going to fourth grade. I like swimming and writing, and I love making code. My project is called the Food Picker 3000. It helps you decide what to eat when you don’t know what to choose. When you shake the micro, it randomly picks a number from 1 to 7 and shows an image. Each image gives you a different food choice, like chips, vegetables, candy, a sandwich, crackers, or a drink. If it shows the “no” image, you can shake the micro again. I hope you enjoy my project!

Dance Party

My project is called Dance Party. In my project, three dinosaurs, six pets, and one man all come together for a big party! The dinosaurs start the show — they dance to fun music in the hot desert, and each dino moves in a different way. Then, the pets join in! There are dogs, cats, hamsters, pigs, and even a turtle, all dancing to their favorite tunes. Finally, the man who created the party appears, dancing and playing music for everyone. It was so much fun to code and bring my story to life!

Plastic bags

Shriya's Plastic Bags project creatively tackles plastic pollution using micro:bit technology. Likely detects plastic bags via light reflection differences or weight sensors, triggering alerts/warnings. Button A logs bag count for awareness campaigns; shake gesture calculates environmental impact (plastic weight ? CO2 equivalent ? ocean pollution time). LED patterns visualize statistics; buzzer sounds emergency alerts for high pollution zones. Variables track bag_count, pollution_score; data export via USB for school campaigns. Perfect environmental science + coding project raising plastic waste awareness through interactive measurement and impact visualization!

The garbage counter activity

Hello everyone! My name is Shreya. I love helping people and animals, and my project is called the The garbage counter activity. I created it to encourage people to reduce waste, recycle, and keep the Earth clean. The micro helps keep track of trash and recycling using buttons and colorful LEDs. When I press Button A, it records trash and shows a reminder that too much trash is bad. When I press Button B, it represents recycling and shows a positive message. Shaking the micro clears the light. Pressing Button A+B gives a final reminder to keep up the good work and stay clean.

Game

My project is a fun game using a Micro:bit. In this game, pressing Button A or Button B will randomly show whether you win or lose. If you lose, you switch buttons until someone wins. Each outcome is shown with a face on the screen and a musical tone—high for winning and low for losing. I also included code to track the random outcomes. This game is perfect for when you’re bored, and it was really fun to make, especially figuring out the music and coding the random chances.
