Soil Moisture Monitoring
Rishik developed a soil moisture monitoring system using a micro:bit to help care for plants. The device reads moisture levels from a sensor and categorizes soil as too dry, too wet, or perfect. It provides visual feedback through LEDs (red, yellow, green), displays emotive faces on the screen, and sounds alarms when moisture extremes occur. A manual button can stop the warning sounds. This project integrates sensor data processing, conditional responses, and user interaction to create a practical gardening aid. Rishik’s clear explanation and engaging animations showcased his strong grasp of coding and electronics.
