In 2026, the Wisconsin high school graduation rate of 91.1% is a record high that has continued to improve over a long period. Approximately 94% of the school districts of Wisconsin met or exceeded expectations for meeting the educational needs of their students. This means that there is a wide variety of public, charter, and private “choice” schools throughout the state. Most of the schools of Wisconsin were awarded and recognized for having success and being successful academically. The top-performing high schools in Wisconsin demonstrate adequate growth measures and are considered to be accountable, and they provide students with access to a high-quality academic program, which better prepares them for their post-secondary options.
