Wisconsin has an excellent public education system focused on providing students with the best possible educational experience through a data-driven approach. The state has more than 350 public middle schools in Wisconsin, providing educational services to approximately 150,000 students, with an overall average student-teacher ratio of 15 to 1 (one teacher for every 15 students), thus providing opportunities for each student to receive personalized instruction. The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has implemented a five-star rating system for all public school districts, with approximately 94% of public school districts receiving ratings at or above expectation levels.
