South Burlington is a busy, growing city in Chittenden County with about 21,000 people living there. It has a "suburban-metropolitan" feel and a high quality of life because it has a lot of parks, access to Lake Champlain, and Vermont biggest mall. The public school system gets very high marks, and the best public high school in Vermont is often ranked as the best or second best. Education here focuses on citizenship, personal growth, and academic success. A strong 53% of students take Advanced Placement courses. The district is also known for having great sports teams and a student body that is diverse and comes from many different cultural backgrounds.
