Hinesburg is a lovely town in Chittenden County with about 4,700 people. It is known for its mix of old-fashioned farming and new technology. A big, well-respected regional high school serves the town. It is always ranked as one of the best in Vermont for both academics and extracurricular activities. The curriculum is broad and tough, with a strong focus on the arts, social justice, and protecting the environment. The school has won awards for having a lot of students take Advanced Placement courses and for always being at the top of the rankings in state-level sports.
