Burlington, Vermont largest city, has about 44,000 people living there. It is located on the eastern shore of Lake Champlain. This lively "college town" has a great quality of life because it has both beautiful scenery and a busy city culture. The city has a wide range of public and private high schools, including the only public high school in the district and a number of private schools that focus on specific subjects. Education here is based on a strong commitment to fairness and a wide range of backgrounds. Students get a lot out of their hard classes, like a lot of people taking Advanced Placement courses, and they have a long history of doing well in extracurricular activities, like winning a lot of state championships in sports.
