Florida High school environment is characterized by how big it is, by how accountable it is, and by how many years of continued improvement there have been from one year to another. For example, in 2025, 44% of all High Schools received an "A" Grade, and the lower-graded (D, F) Schools went down a lot. This shows that the Florida A-F Grade system is working correctly. Although the overall student performance in Florida is ranked #41 in the country, there are signs of improved graduation rates (which is positive) and numerous gains for some school districts. Additionally, most of the best high schools in Florida have large school populations and can list their yearly gains as seen from their Grade letters from year to year.
