Located at the convergence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers, Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, is a picturesque historical town with about 300 to 400 residents. Elementary education is provided primarily by Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) through two or three small, locally based schools. JCPS provides core educational curricula for its students, as well as a variety of services to assist students with their academic and social development and diverse opportunities to participate in community service.
The city's elementary educational programs have consistently received excellent ratings from both state agencies and the Harpers Ferry community. The town itself has a peaceful, family-oriented environment that helps in providing better education for the children.
