Flagstaff, Arizona, is a cool mountain town with about 77,500 people. It's up in northern Arizona, around 7,000 feet high, and has ponderosa pine forests and the San Francisco Peaks all around.There are lots of schools here—around 27 public and eight private ones. About 11,500 kids go to public schools, and around 1,050 go to private ones. The schools focus on STEM (science, tech, engineering, and math)—Flagstaff is even called the First S.T.E.M. City in America! They also have arts and leadership programs and appreciate different cultures. Some of the charter schools are really good, some of the best in Arizona.With all the outdoor stuff to do, friendly people, and beautiful nature, Flagstaff is a great place for families to live and for kids to get a good education.
