Laramie Middle School is located at 1355 North 22nd Street on the north side of Laramie, Wyoming, 82072, serving this Albany County community. The school serves grades 6–8 and enrolls about 707 students, with a student–teacher ratio near 14:1. According to the latest statewide assessment data that feeds into national reporting profiles, approximately 64% of students are proficient in math and 60% in reading. The gender mix is about 55% male and 45% female. The school’s academic environment blends core subjects with thematic learning opportunities that aim to support students as they build skills and prepare for high school transitions, and it also offers various clubs, arts, and activity options typical of a larger junior high setting. Housing near the school commonly falls from the mid $200,000s to around $450,000, giving families access to established neighborhoods with parks, services, and easy connections to local amenities. In this community, people often remark on how teachers set expectations early in the year, how class structures help students manage the flow of subjects throughout the day, and how school communications help adults follow key milestones and events. With solid proficiency levels reflected in assessment data and an environment that encourages students to tackle academic challenges, Laramie Middle School is working toward becoming one of the best middle schools in Wyoming.
