Wyoming has an exceptional middle school system with strong academic performance (more than 75% of its students are proficient), as well as the ability to provide personalized learning options for all students. There are approximately 91,000 K–12 students attending Wyoming public schools, which are organized into 49 separate school districts, with an average student-to-teacher ratio of about 12:1. At least half of all K–12 students are proficient in literacy, math, and science, indicating consistent progress over time.
