Middle school education in Washington continues to show strong, data-backed performance, placing the state among reliable choices for families seeking the best middle schools in Washington state. Across approximately 1.1 million K–12 students enrolled in more than 2,400 Washington public schools, the average teacher–student ratio in middle schools is roughly 18:1.
