Ross A. Lurgio Middle School is a public middle school in Bedford, New Hampshire. It is part of the Bedford School District and serves students in grades 7–8. The school has about 680 students and a good student-teacher ratio of 12:1, which makes it possible for teachers to give each student the help they need. Ross A. Lurgio Middle School puts a lot of emphasis on academics that prepare students for college, STEM instruction, and extracurricular activities like arts, sports, and other programs. the FIRST LEGO League State Championship was recently hosted in Bedford, bringing together more than 500 students from across New Hampshire to compete in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) challenges — an event that benefits many middle school students in the community, including those from Ross A.
