Kaimuki Middle School is a public middle school in Honolulu, Hawaii, for students in grades 6 through 8. There are about 1,006 students at the school, and there are 18 students for every teacher. There are 58 full-time teachers and 5 full-time school counselors. Kaimuki Middle School has a lot of different academic programs that focus on math, English language arts, science, and social studies. It also has enrichment programs in the arts, technology, and physical education. The main goal of the school is to give students a well-rounded education that helps them grow both academically and personally. According to the data, 69% of students scored at or above the proficient level in math and 76% did the same in reading. This shows that they did better than the state average in both subjects. The student body is diverse, with 48% of students being female and 52% being male. 24% of students come from low-income families. The school is in a big city, which gives it access to cultural, educational, and community resources. Kaimuki Middle School is a good school overall because it helps students do well in school and prepares them for high school.

The Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE) recently named Kaimuki Middle School in Honolulu, Hawaii, a "School of Distinction" for 2025. This has caused a lot of buzz. This prestigious award shows how dedicated the school is to making a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired. "STAR time" is a daily period at the school that combines study hall, tutoring, advisory, and intervention. It gives students personalized help and chances to do things outside of school.
The school's music program is also doing well. The band and orchestra are both very good, and there is a strong sense of community among students and staff. Kaimuki Middle School is one of only 24 schools in the country to receive this honor for its commitment to creating a caring environment.
