Gillette is a busy city in northeastern Wyoming with about 33,000 people. It is often called the "Energy Capital of the Nation." The coal and energy industries are what make the city economy strong, which in turn pays for a good public education system. Gillette high schools are some of the newest in the state, with cutting-edge facilities for academics, sports, and technical education. The school system puts a lot of emphasis on preparing students for careers and making sure they do well in state-level sports and academics.
