Watertown High School - 01 is a top public high school in Watertown, South Dakota, for students in grades 9 through 12. It is the only high school in the Watertown School District 14-4 and has about 1,100 students, with a student-to-teacher ratio of about 16:1. Watertown High School is making a lot of changes to its campus right now. For example, they are building a new football stadium on campus and doing a lot of work to modernize the buildings. At their first home meet of the 2025–2026 season, the school's gymnastics team scored 145.8, which was a new season-high score. They beat several teams from the region. The performing arts department is also getting ready for its March production of the musical "Sister Act." Recently, students honored the school board for their leadership and dedication to helping students do better in school.
