Being Updated
As part of their Construction II class at North High School, seniors are currently building a one-bedroom house from the ground up. They are moving from blueprints to actual work on the site. The school's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter also recently won an award at the Emerging Leaders Competition, where students competed in business-related role plays and challenges to see how well they could do. The Philanthropy and Youth (PaY) club has also started a new project with nine local non-profits that focuses on mental health and education in the community.
Q1. Is it possible for students at North High School to get ready for the SAT and ACT?
Ans. North High School provides students with a lot of study materials and help to help them do well on these tests.
Q2. What special traditions does the school keep?
Ans. A long history of academic and athletic traditions helps students at school feel like they are part of a long line of successful people.
Q3. Are there foreign language programs available?
Ans. Students in school can take a number of language classes, which helps them learn about the world and how to talk to people.
Q4. How does the school help students become leaders?
Ans. Students gain the confidence to lead in the school community through student government and peer mentoring.
Q5. Is there a focus on protecting the environment?
Ans. Green initiatives and clubs give students at school a chance to work on projects that are good for the environment and make the campus look better.
