About Delaware Military Academy

Delaware Military Academy is a one-of-a-kind public charter high school in Wilmington, Delaware, for students in grades 9 through 12. It is the only school of its kind in the state and has about 600 cadets, with a student-to-teacher ratio of about 15:1. The school is known as one of the best because of its military-based leadership model and tough academic standards. One-third of students take Advanced Placement courses. There are a lot of different kinds of students, and 29% of them are minorities. Delaware Military Academy has a 55% proficiency rate in reading and a 23% proficiency rate in math. The school gives out standard entrance tests like the SAT and ACT to help students reach their goals after high school. It is one of the best schools for character development because it has a good reputation in the community and a strict school environment. In the end, the academy's best features are its well-organized curriculum and its promise to get students ready to be leaders in college and in the workplace, and it is one of the best high school in Delaware.

The Delaware Military Academy recently held its annual Bell Ringing Ceremony for the Class of 2025. This ceremony honors cadets as they prepare to take on leadership roles in the military and in civilian life. The school has updated its administrative services by putting in place a new digital credentialing system that makes it easier for all students to apply for college and scholarships. Cadets also took part in specialized field training at the Delaware Air National Guard base, where they learned about aviation operations and technical careers in the aerospace sector.
