Colorado boasts an outstanding high school system that has achieved unprecedented results, such as 85.6% of students completing their high school diplomas (the highest in the history of the state), an overall drop-out rate of only 1.6%, and a widely reported achievement level in reading and performance plan ratings among the 769 high schools of Colorado that serve more than 871,000 students. In addition, the quality of public education ranks 15 nationally, while many of the top-performing high schools in Colorado are also developing innovative pathways toward graduation and offering parents a growing array of educational choices.
