Texas has a strong and varied elementary education ecosystem with many campuses rated very high-within the context of demographics. The state has over 5.6 million students, almost 11% of the total in the nation, giving it one of the largest systems in the country. Many schools that are rated high have low student/teacher ratios and provide enriched programs such as Gifted & Talented, STEM pathways, bilingual education, and CTE exposure.
