Located in Rutherford County, Smyrna, Tennessee, is approximately 25 miles southeast of Nashville and consists of about 31.9 square miles of land. Smyrna began as a railroad depot in the mid-1800s and has transitioned from its Civil War past to now being a suburban city with a balanced mix of residential, commercial, and industrial areas.
