Arkansas is known for providing a supportive and community-centered educational environment. The state has over 500 public elementary schools, many of which are consistently ranked as some of ArkansasGÇÖs best elementary schools. Arkansas is a leader in innovation with its learning initiatives such as the EAST Initiative that encourage students to use actual technology to create projects for the benefit of their communities. This initiative has received national attention. Arkansas also expanded educational opportunities through the LEARNS Act by improving literacy support and educator training programs.
