Kiewit Middle School is located at 15650 Howard Street in the Millard area of Omaha, NE 68118. In Millard Public Schools, suburban families value neighborhood connections and community life. About 958 students in grades 6–8 attend the school, which has a student–teacher ratio near 17:1. Recent statewide assessments show that 81% of students are proficient in math and 58% in reading, well above many regional averages. About 48% of students are female, and 52% are male. Instead of resting solely on test numbers, Kiewit supports learners with a mix of core instruction, elective choices, and opportunities like robotics and gifted programs that help students broaden their skills beyond the classroom. In the real estate market surrounding the school, homes generally range from $350,000 to $650,000 and can go even higher. Many families like newer subdivisions, walkable streets, and quick access to shops and parks in this price range. Parents say teachers here help students develop confidence and analytical thinking while fostering diverse interests, which has built community loyalty. Given its above-average test results and wide range of student opportunities, Kiewit Middle School is recognized as one of the best middle schools in Nebraska.
