There are about 1,100 students in grades 9 through 12 at the school, and the student-to-teacher ratio is about 14:1. It is one of the most well-known schools in the area and has high academic standards. For example, 42% of students take Advanced Placement courses. 27% of the students are minorities, and 22% are from families that are not doing well financially. The school says that 53% of students are good at reading and 45% are good at math. The school is in a city with a strong community reputation and a college-like atmosphere. Recently, Laramie High School student-athletes set a number of records in indoor track. At the February 2026 Mustang Invite, they set several individual school records in the shot put and relay events. The Board of Education recently approved new courses for the next school year to give students more ways to learn. This is part of the school's plan to make its academic curriculum more diverse. The school community also recently got a lot of charitable support for its basketball and FFA programs, as well as celebrations for senior athletes who signed national letters of intent to play college sports.

Ans. Yes, of course! Advanced classes push students and help them do better in school.

Ans. Yes, students can learn how to be leaders by joining student groups, working on group projects, and mentoring other students.

Ans. Yes, Laramie High School lets students who want to go to college take both the SAT and the ACT.

Ans. Yes, Laramie High School gives students advice and help to help them reach their academic goals.
