Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) runs Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet High School, which is a public magnet high school in Nashville, Tennessee. The school is well-known for its high academic standards, tough curriculum, and focus on getting students ready for college. It serves students in grades 9–12. Hume-Fogg has a tough curriculum that includes Advanced Placement (AP) classes, honors classes, and other specialized academic programs. Hume-Fogg students organized a march to the state capitol to show their support and call for change. The Metro Nashville School Board is also talking about possible changes to the rules for magnet school admissions that could affect how Hume-Fogg picks students in the future.
