Slade Elementary School is a public school for kids in Laramie, Wyoming. It is part of Albany County School District #1. The school has about 280–310 students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 and a student–teacher ratio of 12:1. This allows for individualized instruction and focused learning in the classroom. The school uses a standards-based curriculum that focuses on math, reading, and writing, as well as critical thinking skills. It also includes enrichment programs, technology integration, and social-emotional learning. About 20–25% of the students come from minority backgrounds, such as Hispanic and multiracial students. This makes the student body fairly diverse. According to data from USA News, about 77% of students are good at math and 52% are good at reading and writing. This shows that math scores are high and literacy scores are steady. We don't know how much money is spent on each student, but the amount of money the district gets shows that they spend more than average on student resources. Slade Elementary School is in a college town that is good for families and has median home values of about $300,000. The school provides a supportive and interesting place to learn.
