Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is a lively city with around 137,000 people living in Linn County. It has a nice Midwestern feel, with a lot of history and new things to do. The Cedar Rapids Community School District, which is the public school system in the area, runs about 20 elementary schools in Cedar Rapids and the surrounding areas. These schools focus on teaching the basics well, but they also have programs for English learners, gifted students, and STEAM/magnet courses. Because there are so many parks and recreation areas in neighborhoods, people are very involved, and the school system is dedicated to the all-around development of kids in their early years, Cedar Rapids is a great place for families to get a good elementary education in a friendly and engaged environment.
