Franklin Elementary 2026-27 enrollment for incoming TK and Kindergarten students officially launches on January 20, 2026. Franklin Elementary will begin the mandatory K-2 reading difficulty screenings on February 10, 2026, for students currently in session. Franklin Elementary parents can access the preview of the Comprehensive Sexual Health Education curriculum through the district website this January.
Q1. Does Franklin Elementary have a traditional school calendar or a year-round track system for its students?
Ans. This school has a traditional academic calendar, which is different from many other elementary schools in the district that have year-round tracks.
Q2. What makes the history of the Franklin Elementary school site different from that of other newer schools in the Elk Grove area?
Ans. This school was built in 1859 and is one of the oldest and most important places to learn in the area.
Q3. Does Franklin Elementary School offer a special focus on agriculture or local farming as part of its extra-curricular activities for students?
Ans. To honor the history of the surrounding rural community, the school includes parts of local agricultural history in its lessons.
Q4. Because Franklin Elementary is where it is, are there special safety rules for dropping off and picking up students?
Ans. During busy transition times, parents must stay in their cars and follow a designated traffic loop to keep students safe.
Q5. Does Franklin Elementary have a spring carnival where students and their families can play games and do things that help the community?
Ans. The school puts on a big spring carnival with games, food, and prizes to bring families and the community together.
