Arlene Hein Elementary 2026-27 enrollment window for Preschool, Transitional Kindergarten, and Kindergarten officially opens on January 20, 2026. Arlene Hein Elementary parents must submit all enrollment paperwork by February 20, 2026, to be included in the randomized prioritization process. Arlene Hein Elementary students in grades K-2 will begin state-mandated reading difficulty screenings starting February 10, 2026, to guide future instruction.
Q1. Does Arlene Hein Elementary have a program for students who are already enrolled to take care of themselves before and after school?
Ans. Yes, the school has the Champions program, which gives kids supervised care and fun things to do before and after school.
Q2. What do new students need to bring to Arlene Hein Elementary this spring to start first grade?
Ans. Families should buy a pencil box, a backpack, and some pocket folders. The school should give students most of the other things they need.
Q3. Are there any student clubs or groups that meet outside of school at Arlene Hein Elementary for the 2026 term?
Ans. Students can join the running club, the choir, and other academic teams that meet regularly this school year.
Q4. How does Arlene Hein Elementary School take care of student lunch accounts and online payments for the school year 2025–2026?
Ans. Every day, parents get automatic updates about their child's lunch account through the MySchoolBucks online portal.
Q5: Does Arlene Hein Elementary School have a science fair every year where students can show off their own research and creative work?
Ans. Every spring, the school holds a science fair where students show their work to teachers, classmates, and family.
