Rogers Park Elementary School

Rogers Park Elementary, 1400 E Northern Lights Blvd, Anchorage, enrolls about 428 students in grades PreK-6 with both a neighborhood K-5 program and a Highly Gifted (HG) K-5 program. The student-teacher ratio at the school is roughly 14:1, below the state average. Academic performance is impressive, with 60% of students demonstrating proficiency in mathematics and 59% in reading—well above state standards. Rogers Park ranked #11 of 459 Alaska public elementary schools, thus in the top 5% of the state, in 2025. The HG program enrolls about 170 students and provides accelerated educational opportunities through an enriched curriculum, including Core Knowledge Language Arts, Wit & Wisdom, and Beast Academy mathematics. Other academic activities include science fairs, Mini-Society, and ROPEs projects. Students may also participate in enrichment activities like choir, basketball, ukulele, Math Counts, and Battle of the Books. The school is part of the Anchorage School District.
