I created a project called the Traffic Light using the Micro:bit. When you press the logo, the green light turns on, then after one second it switches off, and the yellow light appears. After another second, the red light turns on to stop the traffic. I used digital pins to control each light — pin 15 for green, pin 14 for red, and together they make yellow. This project helped me understand how real traffic lights work and how timing in code controls signals safely.

I made something that we all see on the roads every day — a Traffic Light System using a Micro:bit. I wanted to create this project because traffic lights are very important for safety, and I was curious to learn how they work with timing and colors.
In my project, when I press the Micro:bit logo, the sequence of lights begins. I programmed pin 15 to control the green LED light. It turns on for one second, signaling that vehicles can go. Then it switches off, and both pin 14 (red) and pin 15 (green) turn on together to create a yellow light — this tells drivers to get ready to stop. After another second, the red light on pin 14 turns on alone, showing that vehicles must stop. This cycle repeats just like a real traffic signal.
