About the Innovator

I am presenting my project called Snap the Dot. In this project, I used the on start block, set the audio pin, and created two sprites called Unicorn and Sparkle. The Unicorn is brighter, and Sparkle is dimmer so they are easy to identify. The game plays different tones and uses pauses to make it smoother. If the condition is wrong, the game ends. This project helped me learn coding better, and I am proud of my work.

I am happy to present my project called Snap the Dot.

First, I used the on start block to begin the program and set the audio pin so sounds could play during the game. I created two sprites named Unicorn and Sparkle. The Unicorn is the brightest sprite, while Sparkle is dimmer, which helps the player easily detect the characters. At the beginning of the game, a middle C tone plays, and I added a pause of 1000 milliseconds to make the code and movement smoother.

When Button A is pressed, the program checks an if-else condition. If the Unicorn’s X position is equal to 2, the Unicorn moves, the score changes, and a middle C tone plays. If the condition is not met, the game ends. I also added movement and pause blocks for both Unicorn and Sparkle to keep the gameplay smooth.

When Button B is pressed, the program checks if the Unicorn’s X position is either 0 or 4. If the condition is correct, the score increases by 5 and a low F tone plays. Otherwise, the game is over.

When Buttons A and B are pressed together, the game checks another condition using if, else if, and else blocks. If correct, the score increases by 10 and a low E tone plays. If not, the game ends.
