I created a Number Guessing Machine using a Micro:bit—a simple yet fascinating game where you guess a number, and the Micro:bit reveals whether your guess is correct. The concept is straightforward but exciting: think of a number, let’s say 5, and the Micro:bit will display whether that’s the number you guessed. It’s a fun way to engage with probability and sharpen your intuition. The idea came to me when I thought about how guessing games could be made more interactive. Instead of having to shake or press a button to show the result, I wanted the process to feel almost magical, where the result just appears automatically. However, there’s a small hiccup with the accelerometer that makes the numbers appear unexpectedly sometimes. Even so, the core experience remains enjoyable. The coding process for this project was very entertaining and a great learning opportunity. While I’m still waiting for my kit to arrive, I’ve worked out how it would function perfectly. The key is to look out for patterns in the numbers displayed. For instance, after guessing 5, pay close attention to the numbers that appear after it—they might hold a clue! This project highlights how creativity and coding can come together to make something as simple as number guessing into a fun and interactive game. It’s a great way to introduce others to Micro:bit and show how even basic technology can create a playful experience!

Everything parents need to know about building future-ready skills in an AI-powered world.
The future of work is changing rapidly. According to the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report 2025, while AI is expected to create 69 million new jobs globally by 2030, it is also projected to eliminate 83 million roles, especially those involving routine and repetitive tasks. The message is clear: success in the future will belong to those who can think critically, solve complex problems, and adapt to change.
While AI can automate tasks, it cannot replicate uniquely human abilities such as:
These are the future-proof skills every child needs.
MoonCampaign gives students (ages 7–16) hands-on opportunities to build real projects using technology. Along the way, they develop:
Project-based learning pushes children beyond memorization. It teaches them to experiment, debug mistakes, solve unexpected problems, and think independently. When kids build, test, fail, improve, and present their work, they develop the exact mindset needed to thrive in an AI-driven world—not just as users of technology, but as future creators and innovators.
Every child is gifted. Discover how yours can innovate and lead
