MoonCampaign by Matei (9 years)
Matei, 9, enthusiastically presented his Digital Dice project created with the micro:bit and MicroPython. The device replicates a traditional board-game die but works digitally — when shaken, the micro:bit’s accelerometer detects the movement, triggering random.randint(1, 6) to display a number. Each number is paired with a fun image, such as an angry face or smiley, and accompanied by music. Matei explained how he used the micro:bit Python editor to code accelerometer input, LED image display, random number generation, and sound playback. His project combined programming skills with creative outputs, showing how code can transform a small device into an interactive game tool.
