The Oregon high school system continues to improve, with the Class of 2024 leading with an overall graduation rate of 81.8%, the second-highest in the state. Even though the nation still struggles with overall proficiency rates in reading and mathematics, students who have completed at least 2 CTE (career/technical education) credits graduate at a rate of 97.7%. Across Oregon, there are approximately 340 public high schools and 346 private schools, with the International School of Beaverton and Lake Oswego Senior High School being among the highest-performing public high schools in the state.
