The most important news for Temple, Texas's Cater Elementary School is that it will soon be moving. Temple ISD plans to close the campus and use the building for district nutrition services and possible redevelopment because fewer students are enrolling in the neighborhood. The school's legacy will live on, though. The beloved Cougar mascot will officially move to the new Sampson-Howard Elementary, where it will wear new blue and gold colors to welcome former Cater students.
