San Marcos is a vibrant college town featuring natural springs and expanding residential neighborhoods. It’s situated in Texas between Austin and San Antonio and has a total population of 70,000+. The San Marcos Independent School District has the overall responsibility for elementary education for its students; however, there are private and charter schools available in the area providing families with alternatives.
Local elementary schools primarily provide instruction in reading, math, and STEM subjects, but also, bilingual programs, arts programs, and extracurricular activities are available to our students. Some campuses have received academic progress recognitions from the state for their educational successes in the state of Texas.
