Being Updated
Recently, the School for International Studies at Bammel held a "International Marketplace" where students learned about and talked about the economies and cultures of different countries. A lot more students are getting involved in the school's "Global Inquiry" projects, which connect what they learn in school to events happening all over the world. The campus has also started a new bilingual peer-mentoring program to help students of all grades get better at speaking and writing.
Q1. What does it mean for a student to be on the "International Studies" track at this school?
Ans. Every day, students learn about other cultures and world problems, which helps them see the world in a more open-minded and caring way.
Q2. Are there any special world language programs for students at the School for International Studies at Bammel?
Ans. Our curriculum exposes students to multiple languages from the outset, cultivating an interest in global communication and cultural diversity.
Q3. How do global inquiry projects help students learn about different economies and places?
Ans. Students research and talk about different countries, which helps them connect what they learn in class to real-world problems around the world.
Q4. Are there any events at this school that celebrate the different backgrounds of the students?
Ans. We have "International Marketplace" days when students and their families share the music, food, and customs of their cultures.
Q5. How does this campus get students ready for a job market that is connected to the rest of the world?
Ans. We give our students a big head start for the future by teaching them how to think critically and talk to people from other cultures.
