North Tracy, California, is a growing city in the Central San Joaquin Valley with about 90,000 people. It has a large network of public and private elementary schools that serve young learners in all of its neighborhoods. There are more than 30 public elementary schools in the Tracy Joint Unified School District and nearby districts. Some of the best ones, based on how well students do in math and reading, are Hansen, Julius Cordes, and Altamont. Tracy public elementary schools have math and reading proficiency levels that are at or above the state average. The system has a very diverse student body, with 85–86% of students being minorities in many schools. Families have even more options when it comes to private elementary schools, including faith-based ones. Tracy is a great place for families looking for affordable housing, community amenities, and a diverse population. It also a great place for kids to go to elementary school in a supportive suburban setting.
