Riverside, California, is a vibrant city located in Southern California Inland Empire, with a population of approximately 255,000 residents. It is renowned for its cultural attractions, historic districts, and family-oriented lifestyle. Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) and Alvord Unified School District are two of the school districts that provide elementary education. Together, they serve dozens of public elementary schools as well as private and charter schools. RUSD has about 30 elementary schools and a student body that speaks more than 40 different languages. Academics focus on the most important subjects, giving students personalized help, and making sure everyone feels welcome. Many schools also get students involved in the arts, sports, and community service.
