Aarav Bakshi, a Moonpreneur’s MoonBattle Program Season 3 participant, created the Touchless Trash Can. Under the mentorship of Subject Matter Experts, Aarav developed this innovative solution to address a common household problem.

No more struggling with lids or pedals – just a wave of the hand opens the lid automatically, keeping kitchens clean and hands-free. Inspiration of Touchless Trash
The inspiration behind the Touchless Trash Can stemmed from a personal experience. Aarav witnessed his grandmother’s struggles with their conventional trash can and was determined to find a better solution. Recognizing the prevalence of back problems and the risk of germ exposure associated with traditional trash cans, Aarav set out to develop a sensor-operated alternative.
The solution
He created the sensor-operated trash can that opens automatically when approached, eliminating the need for bending down or touching surfaces. This not only alleviates back strain but also reduces the risk of germ transmission, which is particularly important for individuals with compromised immune systems.
Aarav’s grandmother served as a driving force behind his innovation, highlighting the importance of addressing everyday challenges for the well-being of others. Knowing that his creation could bring relief to his grandmother and countless others motivated Aarav to persevere.
