Central High School is celebrating the work of its Superintendent, Dr. Javier Montañez, who recently won the AASA-PTA Family Engagement Changemaker Award for making the school and the community closer. As part of a district-wide effort to modernize facilities, the campus is getting better access to 21st-century learning spaces with better technology and security. The school is also still the best in the state at getting students to come to school more often and giving them more Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities. This makes sure that students are ready for both college and immediate job success.
