Located in northwestern Wyoming is the city of Worland; this small yet welcoming town is home to approximately 4,800 residents. Its landscape consists of rural living, friendly people, and beautiful scenery as it sits in the heart of the Big Horn Basin. The primary education provider for this area is Washakie County School District #1, which has 3 elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school that strive to provide a positive educational experience for all students through high academic standards, student support services, sports programs, and extracurricular activities.
The district works hard to maintain an appropriate student-to-teacher ratio to adequately provide all students with an education that will prepare them for college and a career. Families that choose to reside in Worland will have access to an environment that is both safe and has a family-like community where there is plenty of opportunity and programs that develop youth to their fullest potential.
