Fairfax County's Reston, Virginia, is a planned suburb with a "live-work-play" design and a lot of green space. Fairfax County Public Schools has responsibility for Reston, which has about 63,000 citizens living there. There are a lot of elementary schools in the area that help a lot of various kinds of students. In elementary school, about 70–72% the pupils perform well at reading and math. However, certain subjects are still working to enhance performance. FCPS allocates money on early literacy, STEAM initiatives, and teacher training to make sure that every student does well in the classroom and is dealt with equally. Families choose Reston because it has good schools, community amenities, and a strong focus on helping students grow and learn, even though housing costs are higher than in many other Virginia towns.
