West Jordan, Utah, is a growing suburban city in Salt Lake County with a population of about 116,000. The Jordan School District runs many elementary schools in the area. The city has more than 30 public elementary schools and a few private ones. The district still puts a lot of focus on academics, social-emotional learning, and diversity, even though the average scores in math and reading are below the state average (30% and 36%, respectively).
