Story

Congratulations to Arnav for designing “The HomeGuard!”
&
being part of the upcoming
MoonBattle Conference 2024 in Milpitas, Silicon Valley

The HomeGuard is a motion detector with a built-in alarm. It will detect if anyone or anything is in front of it, and if it detects anything, an alarm will go off. This will alert others nearby of the intruder. This detector can be placed on the inside and outside of houses. No matter what the case is, the HomeGuard will help keep your house more secure!

The HomeGuard is a motion detector with a built-in alarm. It will detect if anyone or anything is in front of it, and if it detects anything, an alarm will go off. This will alert others nearby of the intruder. This detector can be placed on the inside and outside of houses. The basic prototype of this detector that I am designing consists of an Arduino Uno board, an ultrasonic sensor, a buzzer, an LCD screen, and a breadboard. The ultrasonic sensor will send out waves, and then it will have a certain distance from itself to the object that is in front of it. If anything comes in between the ultrasonic sensor and the object that is in front of it, then the distance will change. The detector will make a loud beeping noise, which is with the buzzer, and this will alert others nearby of the intruder. The time that the intruder is detected will also be recorded, and that may be of help depending on the current situation. You can place as many detectors as needed, and they will keep your house more secure no matter what the case is.
